Mark has a tremendous love for the outdoors and the wildlife
which lives in it. Inspired by this, painting has become a major
part of his life. In his work he tries to capture the essence of nature
in all it's beauty. Through his paintings Mark is also able to make
special contributions to conservation groups such as Pheasants
Forever, Ducks Unlimited, Whitetails Unlimited, and others who
are essential in helping preserve our wildlife habitat.
The youngest of five children, Mark spent his teenage years
hunting and fishing around his hometown of Chatham, Illinois.
He moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa to get his B.A. degree at Mount
Mercy College where he studied fine arts. Now along with his
painting. Mark works as a free lance artist where his talents are
applied to a variety of subjects ranging from wildlife to racing
apparel designs. With a combination of artistic talent and a
passion for nature, Mark's paintings are small moments in
nature that have been captured for a life time.
